Prof. Dr. Ke Gong, Vice-President of WFEO, has been appointed to the Scientific Advisory Board of the Secretary-General of the United Nations

Gong Ke was in Berlin on 31st January to attend its Inaugural Meeting where Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called for the science and technology communities to improve policy-making on sustainable development, reducing inequality and eradicating extreme poverty.


The WFEO Model Code of Practice for Sustainable Development and Environmental Stewardship was adopted at the September 2013 General Assembly. It lists ten principles available in English, French or Spanish.
The Model Code includes an Interpretive Guide that is available in English and in Spanish. Our thanks go to the WFEO National Member from Costa Rica, Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y de Arquitectos de Costa Rica, for providing the Spanish translation.
